Meet Keyla

This is my newest child. I plan on sponsring her sister Tania who is also on the site tomorrow if she is stil there. Keyla lives in Honduras. She is 6 years old and will be turning 7 on February 18th. She lives at home with her 4 siblings: Tania who is 3, Darlin who is 2, Jenser is 10, and Fenlin who is 12. They live with their parents. Their mom is a homemaker and dad is a daily laborer. They live in a house with one multi use room. The walls are made of wood, the floor concrete and the roof currugated metal. They sleep on fold out beds. I look forward to getting to know her and hopefully her sister!

Two letters from Adorable Adriana

I received these two letters from Adriana. The first one was her welcome letter. The 2nd one I got in response to a letter I sent her right after I started sponsoring her. I can definitely tell her disability is all physical and not mental. She seems like a very smart, affectionate child. I am waiting on alot of reports on Adriana. Unfortunately it will be about another month until I get them and I know why she is in a wheelchair and how I can help her.

Letter from Lizbeth!

This is my latest letter from my sweet Lizbeth. One interesting thing is that she printed this letter which she never has before so has me wondering why.

Letter from Iris

This is from my sweet Iris in Honduras.

Letter from Juana

I received this letter from Juana the other day. I no longer sponsor her but they told me they wanted to send it along anyway.

Meet Hosanna!!!

This is Hosanna my newest sponsor "child". She really isn't a child anymore but a beautiful young lady. She is 18 years old. But some time ago she had a fever and was asleep for a few days. When she woke up she lost the use of her legs. In Cambodia where she is, it is considered bad luck if a child is sick. So she was sent away. She now lives in a home with a great american couple who takes in camboadian kids that have no home. Hosanna is disabled but she doesn't let it stop her. She takes piano lessons and vocal lessons, she is quite the artist and she is studying both English and Korean. She is only studying at a 4th grade level so I am not sure how long she has been disabled or how long it has been since she has been in school. I am so excited to get to know her better!

Jhojaris gets her SNG!

Yesterday I received the SNG report from Jhojaris. I was pleasantly surprised at all the stuff she got. When I put up the fundraiser I put it up for a little over $200. Jhojaris didn't have any shoes to go to school or gym shoes that fit her. She also needed a bed. When the fundraiser stopped getting donations I had found out that CI wouldn't put in for just the shoes. That the page either had to be closed or fully funded. There was $140 raised but I shut it down so she could get the shoes she needed. I was so surprised when I opened the pictures and she got he shoes, sneakers, AND her bed! Plus food, a fan, and an outfit!
The thing that got me sad is the report stated that she doesnt have many clothes and the clothes she does have does not fit her :-( I am hoping in the new year I can send money just for clothes.
