Shoes for Jhojaris!

Jhoajris is my 7 year old girl from Columbia. She lives in terrible living conditions. There is a fundraiser set up for school shoes, gym shoes, food, and a bed. I am hoping to raise enough money for the shoes and food. Her school shoes do not fit. And she does not have any gym shoes. She needs alot but if I can get about $110 or so raised by tomorrow she will get them in 3 or 4 weeks and not have to wait another whole month. Any little but helps! Thanks!

Pics of Iris at her house!

This is little Iris in Honduras. She is 4 years old. I have to find out from CI exactly how many people her family consists of. Her family reports have said 0 siblings. That it was her and her mom only and that they lived on $53/month. However when I got these photos today and her special needs request it said that she lived at home with her mother and four sisters. I am wondering why there is such a difference. The family has alot of needs but most urgent is food and shoes. They also need some improvements to their home.

I just received an e-mail that the funds were transferred to Quito so Jessica will be getting her physical therapy! I can't wait to hear how she does with it and if it will help her!

Jessica and her Easter Package!

Here is my ther sweet Quito girl! She is always smiling now and I love it! My next goal is another SNG for her. I know some of my other kids haven't gotten any yet but Jessicas situation has been so rough. I got a request in for $168 for physical therapy for her. That will give her two months of therapy and then they will evaluate to see if it is helping like they think it was. The letter said it is highly recommended. She would go three days a week for 45 minutes a session and that price includes their bus fare to get there.

First Letter From Jhojaris

I received my first letter from Jhojaris. Her mother wrote it. Jhojaris is 7 years old and lives in Columbia with her mom and her 5 siblings. Steve from the google group met her a week ago today :-)

She is attending school to learn how to write fast in order to write you by herself. She likes playing with her siblings in her spare time. Meet Gleny

I am a sucker. This is Gleny. One of the posters on LiftOne recently started sponsoring her twin sister and didn't know she was a twin. She posted hoping someone would sponsor Glenys so that neither twin would be left out. Well I couldn't resist her. She is so adorable. She is 3 years old and will be 4 on June 16th. She is from Chile, which is a new country for me. She has a twin sister and also a brother who is 5. They live with relatives as both parents abandoned them. The posts I owe are coing, I just haven't scanned them in yet.

Steves Visit with Jhojaris and Brayan

My friend Steve recently travelled to Columbia to meet with his kids. He volunteered to meet with other sponsors kids also. I have two in Columbia and both were able to make it. Brayan is in the yellow stripes. He didn't look too thrilled to be there but from what I understand he is a little pistol and likes to be on the go! He does seem to like those suckers. His brother and sister are adorable!

Jhojaris is in the white tank top. She has a really nice smile :-) She is one of my kids that are in a very bad situation. There are 6 kids, and they live on less then $75 a month. The mother doesn't work due to having all the kids to look after. And the father is out of the picture and sometimes sends money and sometimes doesn't. Jhojaris is in need of shoes so I am going to try to send that money in very soon!
